After our initial consultation and site measurements, we create a realistic 3D render of your project. You can see exactly what your space will look like and make changes at the design stage before construction begins.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary by project: patios take 3-7 days, retaining walls 2-5 days, and outdoor kitchens 2-4 weeks. We provide a detailed timeline during the planning phase.
Do I need a permit?
Ground-level patios typically don't require permits. Walls over 4 feet, projects involving electrical or plumbing, and properties in flood zones may need permits. We handle the permit process for you.
What happens if it rains during my project?
Light rain doesn't stop most work, but heavy rain may cause a temporary pause. We communicate immediately about any weather delays and adjust the schedule accordingly.
Can I make changes during construction?
Minor adjustments can usually be accommodated. Major changes will be discussed with you regarding any impact on cost and timeline before proceeding.
What paver brands do you use?
We work with premium brands including Cambridge Pavers, Techo-Bloc, Belgard, and EP Henry. We also install natural stone options like bluestone, flagstone, and travertine.
Are pavers better than stamped concrete?
For Pennsylvania weather, we recommend pavers. They handle freeze-thaw cycles better than stamped concrete, are easier to repair, and typically last longer. Paver joints allow for natural expansion and contraction.
What materials work best in PA weather?
Interlocking concrete pavers and natural stone perform best in PA's freeze-thaw climate. The key is proper base installation — a well-prepared base matters more than the material itself.
How long do pavers last?
With proper base preparation, pavers can last 25-50+ years. Quality interlocking pavers are rated to withstand thousands of freeze-thaw cycles.
